Control 2008 will provide the first opportunity in Europe to see the Chatillon® TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester (1 kN / 225 lbf) on AMETEK’s Stand 1302 (Hall 1). This is an advanced, stand-alone force testing system optimized for production, quality control and engineering applications. Also on show will be the Chatillon LTCM-100 Series Motorised Tester and a range of Lloyd Instruments material test equipment.

The new Chatillon TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester features a rugged frame with high-performance, closed-loop motion control and an intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% full scale. Standard test setups include load limits, distance limits, time limits, break tests, rupture tests, cycling and loop tests, while an innovative multi-stage testing function allows customer test set-ups to be created with no external PC control or software. 

The large working area is ideal for both large and small samples. The T-Slot table design supports custom sample fixtures. Heights can be measured on a datum or absolute position. Deflection compensation is standard.

The multi-lingual operator control console features a high-resolution colour graphic display providing simple operation with menus, prompts, function keys and status indicators. Information can be displayed in tabular or graphical format for easy viewing. A USB output allows data to be saved directly to a Flash drive, or exported to Excel or OLE2 formats.

The LTCM-100 Series is a manually controlled, motorised tester, which in combination with a Chatillon gauge, is ideally suited to for applications requiring an economical solution to tensile or compression testing in production, QA/QC, laboratory or research environments. Force measurement accuracy is achieved up to 0.1% of full scale.
