Lloyd Instruments will be demonstrating the new Chatillon® TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester, LTCM-100 Series Motorised Tester and DF series force gauges. Chatillon force measurement instruments and systems are used for testing medical devices including syringes, sutures, stents, adhesives, catheters, implants and for testing the integrity of medical packaging.
The TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester (1 kN / 225 lbf), launched earlier this year, is an advanced, stand-alone force testing system optimized for production, quality control and engineering applications. The system allows users to easily and quickly create customized limit, break, cycle and multi-stage tests including tests based on ASTM, BS, DIN, and ISO standards without a computer or application software. The system’s internal firmware has been validated for medical device manufacturing. A USB output collects and reports data at up to 1000 samples per second and permits compatibility to software applications such as Microsoft® Excel®, Access® or Word®.
The system offers measuring accuracies better than 0.5% of reading and features a large color display that displays large-character tabular and graphical results, plus statistical process control calculations. Multiple speeds are configurable for tests from 0.02 to 1270mm/min (0.001 to 50 inch/min). System security is assured through password protection and an innovative “AutoRun” feature that prevents unauthorized testing and ensures audit trail recording. Nine display languages, including Chinese and Korean are standard.
The LTCM-100 Series Motorised Tester (500 N / 110 lbf), combined with a Chatillon DF Series gauge, is perfect for applications requiring an economical solution to tensile or compression testing. It features a large work area, enabling it to be used in production, QA/QC, laboratory or research environments.
Chatillon gauges on show include the K-FCE-100 and K-MSC-100 digital medical dynamometers, each of which has been classified by the United States of America Food & Drug Administration as Class II Medical Devices. The K-FCE Series is ideal for functional capacity evaluations in physical medicine, occupational medicine and sports medicine applications and general patient assessment in family, neurological and orthopedic practices. The K-MSC Series can be used for muscle strength testing and evaluations in applications such as rehabilitation assessments, strength evaluations and work & recovery analysis.
